VISITATION INFORMATION

COVID-19 Update and Protocol

We have put together a comprehensive protocol that will address the challenges we will all face to stay healthy as the restrictions begin to ease.

Due to Corvid-19 virus, we made the difficult decision to close our on-farm Lavender Boutique and plant nursery to all walk-in customers, due to its small size social distancing requirements are impossible. We will continue to operate in this manner until further notice, with no exceptions. Our on-farm Lavender Boutique and plant nursery will be offering curb-side pickup for product purchase on-line only. July curb-side pickup is available from 8:45 am to 5:00 pm.

For this season, before visitors arrive we ask that they make an appointment on our website for the July lavender bloom visitation. This is to eliminate cash exchange and encourage the quick movement of traffic through the fields. We will be limiting the visitation time to one hour. We will also limit the number of visitors to the field at one time. We will limit families and friends meeting at Laveanne to groups of no larger than 10 people and the number of people using our terrace. We have removed all tables and chairs on the terrace to comply with no public seating guidelines.

No public washrooms are available as suggested by the Health Department.

We are continuing to practice our pre-existing protocols of strict hygiene and sanitation in our on-farm manufacturing facility and while assembling all mail orders.

Our curb-side pickup will be monitored to ensure we continue to adhere to guidelines for social distancing.

We thank you for your cooperation and patience as we together work through this difficult situation.

Laveanne has extremely strict protocol when it comes to safety for our staff and customers. Please read the following new business practices we have initiated in response to our current times.

Curb-Side Pickup Protocol

  • All curb-side pickups are for prepaid online orders only.

  • Please park your vehicle in one of the six designated parking spots ( each parking spot is two (2) metres (6.5feet) apart from any other vehicle ).

  • Customers, please follow posted instructions when you arrive.

  • Tell us your name and order number, car make and model, and colour.

  • An employee will then deliver the products to your car without any contact between employee and customer.

  • Customers must wear cloth face coverings to be served. (This applies to all adults and children over the age of 2. Only individuals with chronic respiratory conditions or other medical conditions that make use of a mask hazardous are exempted from this requirement ) OR wait until the item has been placed on the table and for the employee to return inside the building before retrieving the item from the table (or beside the table for large items).

  • Customers arriving at our site with children must ensure that their children stay next to a parent, avoid touching any other person or any item that does not belong to them, and are masked if age permits.

  • Purchases are given to our customers in sealed packages or bags with receipt attached.

  • Walk to the designated area (marked by the sign) maintaining a physical distance of two(2)metres (6.5 feet) from any person at all times. Please do not touch any surfaces, thank you very much for your cooperation and patience as we work through these uncertain times.

July Lavender Bloom Visitation

New information is being released, as each day unfolds, about the impact of COVID-19. Our primary concern at this time is maintaining the well being of our staff and customers. July is the only month that you can see blooming lavender fields and July is when we have a very high visitation rate. Since large events and mass gatherings can contribute to the spread of COVID-19, we have cancelled all special events such as dinners, workshops, seminars, and yoga classes. This year also, we will not have food service. Since our on-farm store and nursery are too small to have safe social distancing, they will both be closed to the public, although we will be offering curb-side pickup or shipping offers. We hope to meet your expectation for lavender bloom visitation in the following ways:

  • We are limiting the number of people who have access to the field at one time. We plan to do this by taking appointments on our website. The one-hour visit schedule is to allow as many visitors as possible to experience the lavender bloom.

  • Appointments are a must due to Covid-19 restrictions. Pre-visit appointments are the only way to ensure that you will be served upon arrival.

  • This is a Rain or Shine visit on a severe weather visit we show our appreciation for coming out with a destination reward. Summer rains can be fun and often they are intermittent.

  • Bring your own folding chairs and please do not share chairs with other visitors.

  •  Our relaxing lavender labyrinth will be available to wander.

  •  Our beautiful fields make a stunning backdrop to your pictures.

  •  Enjoy the quiet of our farm, we are very fortunate to be surrounded on two sides by the Ganaraska Forest, we often see interesting birds and wildlife.

  •  Thank you for your understanding as we work through this difficult time.
