Enjoy an exclusive pop-up dining experience at Laveanne Lavender fields every day for a limited time, in July only. We are very excited about our new food provider partnership for the 2018 July season. Savour a decadent lunch menu crafted by award winning and celebrity Chef Tina Moorey, owner and operator of "On the Side Gourmet". The full menu showcases the many culinary possibilities of lavender, highlighting sweet and savoury dishes. Available daily from 11 am to 3 pm, indulge your taste buds and experience the allure of lavender. Relax with a glass of your favourite beverage, friendly conversation, and the breathtaking views from our terrace overlooking the lavender fields. Let us transport you to the sunny South of France while you enjoy the sounds of soft French cafe music.
There will be no reservations taken for the 2018 season.
Our new food provider will be able to serve a larger number of people at a time. Also the Open Air Bistro will be offering food that can eaten in hand, allowing some to walk around with food as they explore our fields. Reservations came with their own problems, of people and even large groups not showing up for their reservation and therefore tying-up limited space. We are confident that this system will be more successful. The food offering will still have a lavender theme.

Let us carry you away in thought, to the South of France with the breathtaking view from our terrace overlooking the lavender fields. The illusion is continued with the sound of soft cafe music playing in the background as you enjoy a delicious lavender inspired menu created by celebrity Chef Tina Moorey, owner and operator of "On the Side Gourmet". Complete the experience with a glass of wine or favourite beverage, for an unforgettable, dreamy, romantic day out.
Cozy up to mouthwatering deserts and pastries featuring the rich yet delicate flavour of lavender and its flavour affinities. Choose from French macarons, rich buttery shortbread, light and crunchy biscotti, tasty tarts and gourmet cookies.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF RAIN?
Opening of the pop-up is weather permitting. Please check weather for Port Hope since weather patters can be very different from one area to another. Weather information and any cancellations due to rain will also be posted on Laveanne's Facebook page.
IS THE OUTDOOR TERRACE SHADED?
Laveanne's Open Air Bistro is served on an outdoor terrace with partial shade only.
IS THE TERRACE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
There are grassed paths leading to the terrace with gentle slopes, we have had wheelchairs on the terrace, but this will depend on the wheels on the chair and the individual.

We are very excited to present our new food partner, celebrity Chef Tina Moorey, owner and operator of "On the Side Gourmet". A Dynamic and accomplished catering and event planning professional with extensive experience in social and corporate markets as well as successful large scale event planning and food preparation skills. Chef Tina Moorey has been featured in several Cooking Show Segments in the CBC’s ‘Steven & Chris’ Show. Featured as Celebrity Chef in several segments of TV Series ‘Life is Good’ and featured in several segments of on-going TV Series of ‘Senior Life’. Chef Tina Moorey was also featured in ‘Wedding Bells’ magazine, to name just a few of her accomplishments. Today, Chef Tina focuses her passion and drive to take On The Side Gourmet Food Inc. to the next level of quality and service with ever more creative menus and a consistently expanding client list. We invite you to visit and experience Chef Tina Moorey's culinary talents this July. Not only do we have Chef Tina Moorey providing interesting and creative food offering this season we also
have the talents of Chef Douglas Hope from Sper Food & Farm in Warkworth.
Chef Douglas Hope has incorporated his vast experience and diversity in his upbringing and travels to gain an understanding of food from growing livestock and produce to the complete use of each product. Chef Douglas Hope is devoted to creating food products to their maximum potential & using local ingredients when available. Combining methods of slow food principles with smoking, curing, lactose fermentation, pickling, as well as, making hams, salumi, sausages & preserves whilst using everything from head to tail and leaf to root.
An education that started at Sir Sandford Fleming in Hospitality Mgmt to Culinary Arts at SAIT in Calgary which continued throughout his global travels. He has worked in numerous countries and with 2 cruise companies. For 5 years Chef Hope had his own restaurant amidst four of the wine districts near Adelaide, Australia. Notable restaurants and hotels filled his resume from Anton Mosimann of London, Canoe in Toronto, Conrad Hotels, Windows on The World, Hilton, Six Star cruise line Silversea to recently Elmhirst’s Resort of the Kawarthas,
and now to open Sper Food & Farm growing his products on his farm and in collaboration with local farmers promoting Northumberland grown products.
